jane eyre 1943 version orson welles aldous huxley robert stevenson john houseman moviegif gif by me 2 gif not very true to the book imo they took huuuuge liberties in the story and what I like the most about Jane Eyre the book IS Jane Eyre herself and in this Jane Eyre was not so much Jane Eyre as we know her i mean I barely recognized her it was also very theatrical and exaggerated which perhaps is normal by standards of this era but I found that difficult to enjoy anyway if you really like the book drop your expectations before you watch it or else you won't be able to enjoy it words words words
